Ten Books I Meant To Read Last Year, But Didn’t Get To.

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish, though it will soon be moving to a new blog on the 16th. So keep an eye out for that fellow TTT’ers.

Today’s post is about a few of the books I was hoping to read in 2017, but didn’t get to in time. It’s actually a much longer list than just 10 in real life, but 10 is all I could manage today.  These are in no particular order.

1. I’ve had this sitting on my actual current reading list on Goodreads since December at least, but more important books keep pushing it down. Also I’ve had a lot of books due recently (still have a few actually) so that’s been keeping me busy.

2.  Ah yes, I’m still wading though this series. I’m actually really excited to read this book, but I just wasn’t able to read it last year. Now I have a due date that’s forcing me to read it this month.

3.  This book I’ve had in my NetGalley list for ages, and I was determined to get to it last year. Now I’m determined to get to it this year. I will read it. I swear. 😀

4. I wanted to get to this book last year because I have an ARC of the sequel, because apparently I do things backward. But alas, this book didn’t get to me till just this week because someone else was reading it. Oh well, now I have it.

5. Ooh look at how controversial this book is? 😀 Like the book above I wanted to read it, but unfortunately couldn’t get it from the library sooner.

6. This book came out in December, so I have a little less guilt about not getting to it. Still it seems like it would be an extremely helpful book for me and so I’d like to read soon.

7. This cookbook was on the Goodreads Choice Awards, thus why I wanted to read it last year.

8. I heard good things about this book, and so I had been hoping I’d get a copy before the year was out. Alas, that didn’t happen. But I’ll be reading it this year for sure!

9. I actually have a copy of this book out from the library, but haven’t managed to get to it. I’m hoping that after my long list of due dates goes away I’ll be able to read this one.

10. And last but not least. This book was in one of my OwlCrate boxes, and I loved the cover and so I was going to read it last month. But holidays got in the way and now I’m hoping to read it this month, or next.

And that’s all for now! Don’t forget to leave a link to your TTT so I can comment on your post and bemoan with you all the books you just didn’t manage to read in 2017.

  1. Best of luck for reading the Song of Ice and Fire series… I totally understand how time-consuming it is 😀 it’s totally worth it in the end though, it’s such a wonderful series ❤
