Patreon Post – September Goals

This was originally posted on my Patreon, I post all my writing and sneak peaks on that website first. If you’d like to get access to these posts please consider supporting me. Thanks! Also a note, when I published this post I had not heard back from the publisher for Miss Poppins, and now I have. You can read that post here.

I am absolutely giddy thinking about fall coming up. It’s my favorite time of year, it’s when I come alive again and most of all it’s when I feel the most inspired. I can not wait for cool weather, colorful leaves, pumpkin spice and of course Halloween. It’s right around the corner y’all! But I’ve gotten off topic now. This post is supposed to be about my goals for the month of September.

As you probably know I’ve been thinking a lot about what to do with my poetry, specificallyMaybe (Not) Her,  and I’ve decided that I’m going to self-publish it. Over this month I’m going to work on editing it again and creating a cover for it and then in October I’ll publish it.  The date I have in mind right now is October 31st.

Of course I’ll be working on my normal writing as well. Editing for Miss Poppins continues as I wait to hear back from Patchwork Press. I will also continue to submit poems to magazines.  One other thing I want to work on this month is the newsletter that Grant and I write, we’ve slacked off recently but I’m really going to push to get it out again.

And that’s about all. I’m hopeful that this month will be very productive!

  1. Best of luck with the self-publishing! I hope you have a lot of fun and not get too stressed about it 🙂 And definitely looking forward to how the finished copy looks like.
