I was given a copy of this book by NetGalley in exchange for a review.

This book is one the most useful cookbooks I’ve gotten from NetGalley.  Bailey gives us 61 different sauce recipes, from Thai sauces, to South American and of course Italian. Each sauce sounded so good, and throughout the time that I had the ARC I made probably four of the recipes. Each turned out really good and I would make them again, as well as buy this book.

What I loved about the book was the simplicity that went so far. There’s only 61 recipes, but Bailey has at least half a dozen different ways that one can use the sauce. And those are just the ideas she gives. I found myself thinking of more ways to serve the sauces as i was reading it the book.

For me I don’t think I’m going to do things exactly like the author suggests. I have the time right now where I don’t need to make the sauces and freeze them, though I’m sure there will be times in my life where I will. Overall I loved everything about this and I hope to own it soon. I gave it four stars on Goodreads.

Let’s Get Fizzical wasn’t really the book for me. While I found myself learning a lot about the different types of champagne and fizzy drinks, I didn’t really like the writing style as whole. I found the style to be a little over the top and, forgive the pun, too bubbly for me to take very seriously.

Still this book wasn’t a complete waste of time. Like I said I did learn a lot about types and how champagne is made. Which I did find to be interesting. And the recipes themselves were alright, I could see myself possibly using some of them in the future. Though honestly a lot of them seemed to be over the top, not to mention expensive to make.

In the end I gave this book 3 stars on Goodreads.
