Top Ten Tuesday – Books I Meant to Read In 2018 but Didn’t Get To

Whoops! Apparently I did the last Top Ten Tuesdays out of order. Oh well! Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. The topic I’m talking about today is books that I really really meant to read last year, but just didn’t get to.  There are honestly way too many books that I didn’t get to last year. So to make it easy on myself here are some of the books I wanted to read from the 2018 Goodreads Choice Awards. Hope you enjoy!

1. Hunger by Alma Katsu

Horror anyone? This book seems like it would be chilling.

2. A Literary Tea Party by Alison Walsh

Cookbook plus fun literary characters? Give this book to me now!

3. The Future of Humanity by Michio Kaku

The future of the world is something that scares me a lot, maybe this book will relieve some anxiety?

4. Are You There God? It’s Me, Margarita by Tim Federle

I love cocktails, and I really need to learn to make them at home!

5. The Space Barons by Christian Davenport

Apparently now we’re colonizing space? Come on guys, we’ve already fucked up earth. 😛

6. American Sonnets For My Past And Future Assassin by Terrance Hayes

I always need more poetry in my life.

7. Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson

For a second I thought I put the same book twice, but no they just have similar covers. But this book is a novel. 😉

8. A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo by Jill Twiss

A gay kids book! I need this in my library!

9. Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor

I’m the most upset about not getting to this book last year, I loved the first book in this series and I can’t wait to see what happens in this one!

10. I was Born For This by Alice Oseman

Last but not least! And I will find a way to get to this book and all the books on my list…Someday.

This post is a little bit shorter than my usual TTTs but such is life, still I hope you all enjoyed it. Don’t forget to share your TTT post with me so I can check out what’s on your reading list!
