Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog event hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is about summer TBRs, a very exciting topic! Here are 10 books that I’m hoping to read over the summer.
1.The Good Neighbor by Maxwell King.
A Goodreads Choice Award winner, and a memoir. This book is checking off two of my boxes so I’m hopeful it will be a good read.
2. Amal Unbound by Aisha Saeed.
A diverse middle grade book! Of course I have to read it.
3. Broad Band by Claire L. Evans.
I’ve already mentioned that this is a book I’m reading this book this summer, hopefully I’ll actually start this in the next few days.
4. The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin.
I’m currently in the middle of listening to this book on audio, but I haven’t finished it yet which is why I’m including it. This book is actually the reason I started Le Guin’s Hannish series.
5. Alanna: The First Adventure by Tamora Pierce.
I’m also in the middle of listening to this book with my girlfriend, but it will take us an age to finish it because we listen to books super slowly. This will be the third series by Pierce that we’ve listened to.
6. The Wind’s Tweleve Quarters by Ursula K. Le Guin.
This is a collection of short stories within the Hannish series, which I didn’t realize at first but now I’m actually really excited to give it a try. It will be one of the few books in the series that I’ll actually read read and not listen to.
7. Good Omens by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman.
This is another audiobook that I’m currently listen to, my two partners and I just started it because we love the show. I’m sure this will also take us an age to listen to. In fact I’ll be surprised if we finish it this summer, but one can hope!
8. The Word For World is Forest by Ursula K. Le Guin.
I know you all are probably tired of seeing all of her books on my list, but I’m really enjoying them! I hope to read the whole series. Maybe not this summer, but hopefully I’ll read quite a bit of it over the summer.
9. Ghost Boys by Jewell Parker Rhodes.
Another book on my middle grade list. I’m sure this one is going to rip my heart out.
10. The Dispossessed by Ursula K. LeGuin.
The last book, I promise. For now. 😉
