Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog event hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Today’s topic is about book settings that I’d like to see more of. This was a hard topic for me so I only ended up doing 4 different settings. Hope you enjoy!
1. Queer Life Pre-Stonewall.
Queer people have always existed and I’d really like to see more of them in historical fiction. I want to see queers in the midwest, queers in Victorian times, queers around the world.
2. Books set in the Byzantine Empire.
Speaking of historical fiction, I’ve only ever read one book set in the Byzantine Empire and I would love to see more! Please let me know if you have any recommendations.
3. Books Set in Libraries.
I’ve read a few books in this setting before, so I definitely don’t think it’s one that’s overlooked. But it’s still such a fun setting that I would love to explore more.
4. Science Fiction Meets Medieval Worlds.
Ever since reading Ursula K. Le. Guin’s books I’ve been a little bit obsessed with the meeting of these two different settings. I would love to read more books with combinations similar.
That’s all from me for today! I’d love to see your Top Ten Tuesday post, so don’t forget to share a link! Thanks.
