Weekend Cooking is a weekend blog meme hosted by Beth Fish Reads. Today I’m sharing some recipes I’ve done recently with bagels in the morning. I love bagels, they are one of my favorite breakfasts foods. But to be fair I love a lot of breakfast foods.
This bagel I added a lot of bacon because I had some extra in the freezer. And I added lots of cream cheese because I’m a massive cream cheese fan. I also added a huge slice of tomato and some spring mix. And of course an over-easy egg. When I was a kid I used to hate runny yolks but slowly over the last year or so (thanks to my girlfriend) I’ve grown to love them!
This one was my favorite of the bagels I made last week. I caramelized onions, added some apple slices, some thin sliced onions, spring mix and an egg with melted Gouda cheese on top. This was an amazing breakfast.
What’s your favorite way to make a breakfast bagel sandwich? I’m always looking for new ways to make them!
The caramelized onions, apples, and Gouda combo sounds awesome!! I’m so boring — I tend to go for almond butter or avocado on my toasted bagels.
I do want to make some avocado bagels soon! It sounds super tasty. 🙂
Sounds like a very creative way to enjoy a bagel. The Gouda and the apple are a great combo.
Thanks!
