I am now in the last few thousands before finishing up the 50,000 challenge of NaNoWriMo. Today I start out my writing at 46,341 words, maybe I’ll finish today, maybe I won’t. But I won’t be finished with the novel, not even close. I keep going back and forth between thinking I’m about 1/3 of the way done or maaaaaybe close to half now? I’m honestly not sure.
I was so excited for editing next month, but at this pace I just need to keep writing on. I keep thinking about how I can make the story better, what needs to be changed, grammar that I fucked up etc. etc. etc. I really want to make this story less adventure and more introspective, but that’s not exactly a good genre to be writing in for NaNo. This month its all about the words, beautiful prose comes later.
