Winning And What’s Next – NaNoWriMo Day 30

This was originally posted on my Patreon, I post all my writing and sneak peaks on that website first. If you’d like to get access to these posts please consider supporting me, the first tier starts at just $1. Be sure to check out my most recent post about my goals for 2020.  Thanks you!

I was supposed to post this yesterday, but I had a hard mental health day and decided to just rest. So here we are. My official, I won NaNo and what I’m doing next post!  How is it already December? 😦

I am finished with the 50k, but I am not finished with the novel. I know I mentioned this in my last post, but the feeling of only half accomplishing NaNo is still sitting with me strangely. I’ve been congratulated by friends and family alike and I can’t help but say each time, “But I haven’t finished the story.”  Hopefully once I do actually finish it I’ll get a sense of accomplishment.

So that’s what I’m doing next. I’m going to finish the novel, and then hopefully in January I’ll be able to start editing. I don’t know if all of December will be taken up by  this first draft, but I figured in order to be on the safe side I’ll just say it will.

I can’t wait to to get to the ending. I have this beautiful idea of where my characters will be, and how they will be facing their future. I want my main character to start a community of women who are surviving together. I want it to be hopeful, even with all the death and survival they’ve had to go through.   I can’t wait to share it with you all!

Later in the week I’ll have another snippet for you all. Until then, I hope you have a fantastic Monday.
