February Reading Wrap-Up

Reading Wrap Up

I almost forgot today was the start of a new month, and then I remembered and was exited to take a look at all that I had read. February was a month of extremes, either I didn’t like the books or I really liked the books. Total for the month was 27 books! Although I should note that I’m at 49 books for the year and I’m just barely on track. Every time I see the little goodreads note that says “you’re on track!” I feel like they’re mocking me. ūüėÄ

1 Star: 6 books total

By the time February finished I had read some really awesome books, so I forgot that I DNF a lot of books at the beginning of the month. Gideon The Ninth was a big appointment, and one of the YA books I read last month. The only other book that I was disappointed with was Lanny, some reviews I had read hailed it as genius but honestly I thought it was a lot of pretentious bullshit with no story.

2 Stars: 3 books total

Two schools books here, not super surprised but I’ll say more on that when I review them.¬† I am however heartbroken at having quit¬†The Starless Sea.¬†I loved Morgenstern’s first book and have been waiting for her to write more since I first picked up¬†The Night Circus.¬†Her second book sadly was super boring and lacked all that I loved from her previous work.

3 Stars: 9 books total

I read quite a few graphic novels last month, not just the ones that were required for my class. Though the class has reminded me how much I love the genre. I am looking forward to writing reviews for a few of these books.

4 Stars: 2 books total

Zami¬†I read for school and devoured it in a couple days, it was really good. And I’m making headway in my bookish research for podcasting, I’m learning a lot!

5 Stars: 5 books total

When was the last time I had so many five star books?!? I can’t even remember (though that’s not saying much, sometimes I can barely remember what I did the day before)!¬† All of these were amazing. Keep an eye out for their reviews! Definitely check them out if you’ve not read them yet.¬† Bechdel is my new favorite comic and Camus my new favorite author.

What did you read last month? What’s on your spring TBR? Don’t forget to share a link to your Reading Wrap-Up if you’ve done one!
