Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Since I did my spring TBR post last week I decided to go with a different theme. With all of this uneasiness and scariness of COVID-19 going around there’s been a lot of anxiety and tension. So I wanted to focus on some books that I’ve read before that have helped me with my anxiety. Hope you all enjoy, hope it helps and please if you know of any other books that help with anxiety let me know!
1. Light Magic For Dark Times by Lisa Marie Basile
For all my fellow witches and pagans out there, this book is a must have for any and every situation. It’s a very calming book to have on hand and I’ve used several practices before. In fact I think my partners and I will be doing a ritual from this very soon.
2. Trauma Releasing Exercises by Dr. David Berceli
My therapist introduced to these exercise and they have changed my life. My anxiety is at an all time low whenever I make time to do the exercises. And they really don’t take too long to do, nor are they super aggressive. More stretches than anything else.
3. Trauma-Proofing Your Kids by Peter A. Levine and Maggie Kline
This book was also recommended to me by my therapist. For those of you who have kiddos, this book could helpful for any stressful situation.
4. Burnout by Emily and Amelia Nagoski
I wrote a review for this book earlier in the year, and while it wasn’t my favorite, I do think it could be a good tool for some people to have. If you can check this out somehow, definitely give it a try!
5. The Relaxation & Stress Reduction Workbook by Martha Davis
For the non-pagans reading this post I would consider this the alternative to Basile’s book. I loved a lot of the different exercises in this book and would use it more regularly if I owned it.
Don’t forget to share you Top Ten Tuesday post with me! I’m excited to read all the TBR posts.
I really need to read Burnout sometime. It sounds so good.
