Ah ha! I remember to write this post before a week of the new month has gone by. June was a mixed month for me. I only read 11 books, but also my library opened back up which has motivated me to spend more time reading books instead of watching a tv show.
1 Star: Aurora Rising – by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff
I’ve just gotta stop trying trying books these two authors write together, because I never enjoy them. It’s sad, because I like Sci-Fi but I just don’t vibe with their writing styles or characters…Or really anything.
2 Stars: Psychology – by Sandra E. Hockenbury & Susan A. Nolan
I’m probably not rating this book fairly because I just fucking hated this class last term. Last term was painful in many ways, but geeze did my Psych class make it 100 times worse.
3 Stars: 3 books total
I’ll be reviewing two of these books eventually on the blog. I haven’t decided if I’ll be reviewing textbooks on here or not.
4 Stars: 3 books total
The Blind Fairy is a book I bought randomly last week, I’m trying to collect more and more kid’s lit books, and this one was quite the story. Weird but the art is beautiful. The middle book is a collection of photos and quotes from letters and other writing by Camus, a short look into his life that I quite enjoyed. The last book here was on writing memoirs, I found it moderately helpful.
5 Stars: 3 books total!
I can’t remember the last time I had this many 3 star books. I’m sure I could find out if I looked back at my other wrap-up posts, but I’m too busy reveling in the fact that I read some damn good books last month. Keep an eye out for their reviews!
What did you read last month?
Sometimes an author just doesn’t work for us, no matter how much we want them to.
Yeah that’s for sure, it’s sad though. 😦
