What I’m Currently Reading – April 2021

The move has finished, my partner and I are officially all settled in and almost finished decorating our cute room. Which meant that I had time last weekend to go and get a new library card! And although I haven’t started any of my new books from the library, I am ridiculously excited to have a stack of books again. So let’s take a look at what I’m reading this month.

Lord Brocktree by Brian Jacques

Living with my family again has made me nostalgic for all the books I read as a child, so when I saw that my siblings still had some of the Redwall series I knew I had to restart the series. This time I’m reading it in chronological order, which has been fun. This is the first book and I’m surprised how much of it I still remember!

The Magical Writing Grimoire by Lisa Marie Basile

I’ve read Lisa Marie Basile’s earlier book Light Magic for Dark Times and really loved it. So when I realized I was going to be in a car for four days driving to Missouri I bought myself a few books to read. I didn’t end up starting this book on the drive, but did recently and have been enjoying it so far.

Thou Shalt Not Be Aware by Alice Miller

Alice Miller has written some of the best books on childhood trauma and healing, so awhile ago when I found this book at a thrift store I knew I had to get it. This was actually the book I started reading on the move from Oregon to Missouri.

What are you reading these days?
