WWW Wednesday – June 9 2021

WWW Wednesdays is a weekly blog meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Current Read: Pushed by Jennifer Block

My mother is currently studying to be a doula and one of my sisters is going to be joining a midwifery program in the fall, which has gotten me into a kick of reading more about childbirth in America. This has been a subject that has fascinated me for a long time, but it’s been fun to have people to talk to about it and talk about the books we’re all reading right now. This was next on my list and I just started it today.

Finished Read: Between Women by Sharon Marcus

This was such an interesting read! I learned so much about Victorian ideas on marriage and women that I had no clue about. It made me super excited to start working on my BA in the next year. It also made me realize that I’m definitly in the right field of study, History and Sexuality studies here I come!

Reading Next: The Informed Parent by Tara Haelle & Emily Willingham

Both my partner and I have been meaning to read this book since we first found out I was pregnant, alas I keep reading other books and Dani isn’t a big reader. But I hope to finish this book in the next month. Fingers crossed.

What are you reading this month?

If you enjoyed my post please consider checking out some others! I review books, film, as well as have some cooking posts under the tag “weekend cooking”. I write about queerness, polyamory, pregnancy and my normal life as well. You could also consider tipping me through Ko-Fi, which is basically the same as buying me a coffee! I have a patreon where I share exclusive poetic and writing content. Thank you for reading.
