Last month was a been particularly productive on many fronts, but this post is just about my reading. Over the month I read 26 books! And not a single 1 star among them! I wish I could keep this up for the rest of the year, but I don’t think that’s possible so I’m just congratulating myself for starting the year off right.
2 Stars. I’ve already written reviews for two of these books so I don’t want to spend too much time talking about them. But I’ll just say, The Clockwork Scarab was a disappointment, Court of Thorns and Roses was about what I expected and The Blue Moon Narthex was a strange strange book.
3 Stars. Usually this is my largest category, so I was surprised when I only saw 6 books here! You can find reviews for The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding, and Worth Every PennyWorth Every Penny, but the rest of these reviews are forthcoming. I had higher hopes for Every Day and Our Own Private Universe than three stars, but such is life I suppose, sometimes you just don’t vibe with a book. And the last two books were pretty good, I especially liked The Zombie Survival Guide.
4 Stars. January was a good month for my reading! A total of 15 4 stars books. Wow, I don’t even know where to begin. I’ve posted a review for The Pesto Cookbook and for An Old Fashioned Girl. Hopefully I can do a majority of these books this month. The Children of Icarus series was really good and I’m surprised I haven’t heard more about it! I was able to read two poetry books, one LGBTQA+ book, some non-fiction and was surprised by more than one of these. Such a good month for reading.
5 Stars. As always I am stingy with my five star ratings, but these two books were both amazing and without a doubt deserved the highest rating I could give. Saga like always kills me and makes me cry. And A Feast for Crows was incredibly entertaining.

Ooh that’s such a hard question…I think right now it’s a tie between A Storm of Swords (because that ending was so good!) and A Feast For Crows (because a lot of my favorite narrators were in this book). Which is your favorite?
I’m not exactly sure myself, but I did love A Storm of Swords a lot!!! To be honest, after a year of not reading the books, they are all a huge blur and I can’t remember much of what exactly happened in each of the books 😀
